Privacy Policy
App: Dōs
Last updated: February 1, 2026
Effective: February 1, 2026
1. Introduction
Dōs ("we," "our," or "the app") is an iOS app for peptide protocol setup, reminders, dose logging, and optional household schedule sharing. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data the app uses, where it is stored, who can access it, and your choices.
We do not collect account information, run analytics, or use tracking. Your data stays on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud and in shared household data you control.
2. Data We Use (What & Why)
2.1 Data You Create in the App
| Data | Purpose | Stored |
|---|---|---|
| Protocols, vials, schedules, dose logs | Core app functionality: reminders, draw amounts, history | On your device; optionally in your iCloud |
| Household share preferences | Let you create or join a household and see shared schedules | On your device only |
| Onboarding completion | Remember that you've completed onboarding | On your device only |
| Applied household dose log IDs | Remember which shared doses you've marked | On your device only |
| Invite/base URL preference | Use your chosen domain for share links | On your device only |
We use this data only to provide the app's features. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
2.2 iCloud and Household Sharing
- Your iCloud: If iCloud is enabled for the app, your protocols, vials, schedules, and dose logs are synced to your iCloud account via Apple's infrastructure. We do not have access to your iCloud data; only you (and devices signed into your Apple ID) can access it.
- Household sharing: If you create or join a household, schedule and dose data you choose to share is stored in a separate iCloud container used for sharing. Only people you explicitly invite (via share link) can access that shared data. Apple's CloudKit powers this; we do not host or read the contents of your shared household data on our own servers.
2.3 Notifications
The app can send local notifications (e.g., dose reminders) that are scheduled and delivered by your device. We do not send push notifications from our own servers for marketing or tracking.
2.4 Device and System APIs
The app uses standard iOS APIs for:
- Storage: Saving and syncing your data (device storage, iCloud).
- Preferences: Storing settings in app preferences on the device.
- Notifications: Scheduling and displaying local reminders.
We do not use these for cross-app tracking or advertising.
3. Where Data Is Stored
- On your device: All data you create is stored locally first. Preferences are stored in app preferences on the device.
- In your iCloud: If you have iCloud enabled for the app, a copy of your data is stored in your private iCloud account, subject to Apple's iCloud privacy and terms.
- Household shared data: Shared household data is stored in Apple's CloudKit in the household container. Only you and the participants you invite have access.
We do not operate our own servers that store your protocol, dose, or schedule content.
4. Who Has Access
- You: You have full access to your data on your device and, when enabled, in your iCloud.
- Household participants: If you use household sharing, only people who have accepted your share can see the shared data.
- Apple: Data in iCloud and CloudKit is processed by Apple under their privacy policy and terms. We do not have access to the contents of your iCloud or your shared household data.
- Us (developer): We do not collect, receive, or access your protocols, dose logs, or schedule data. We have no backend that stores this data.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- On device: Data remains until you delete it in the app or delete the app. Deleting the app removes local data; iCloud data may still exist until you remove it there.
- iCloud: Retention follows your iCloud account and Apple's policies. You can turn off iCloud for the app or delete data in your device settings.
- Household sharing: If you leave a household or revoke sharing, access to that shared data is removed in line with Apple's sharing behavior.
- Preferences: Values like onboarding completed are stored until you clear them (e.g., by reinstalling the app).
We do not retain your personal or health-related data on our own systems.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access: You can see all your data in the app and in your iCloud if you use it.
- Correction: You can edit or delete protocols, vials, doses, and schedules in the app.
- Deletion: You can delete data in the app, leave a household, or delete the app. To remove data from iCloud, use your device's iCloud settings.
- Export: You can use the app's history and views to see your data; we do not currently provide a separate export file.
- Opt-out of sync: You can disable iCloud for the app in iOS Settings.
- Opt-out of household sharing: You can choose not to create or join a household, or leave at any time.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or other regions with similar laws, you may have additional rights (e.g., access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection). To exercise them, contact us using the details below. We do not sell your personal data.
7. Children
Dōs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at the same URL and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may notify you in the app or via the App Store version notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
